THE BIG MOVE IS MONDAY

Leighton will be moving form St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, OK to the Craig Hospital and rehab center in Denver, CO tommorrow! He will be leaving the hospital at seven a.m. By 8 a.m. he will be leaving the airport on a special medical plane on his way to Denver. He will be ariving at Craig Hospital some time around noon.

It is going to be a tough move for Leighton. He is still in a lot of pain and discomfort when he is transfered from one bed to another. But, Leighton is focused on what he needs to do and doesn't want to put this off one day.

Please pray for Leighton as he goes through this. Specifically that God would give him the ability to handle everything that he has to go through. And, that God would speed his recovery up.

Leighton said he knows that this is going to be a marathon and not a sprint race. He said that he knows what hard work and dedication is, and he is excited to get to work.

Thank you for your support and prayers!

  1. Hey Leighton! Glad to hear you are moving to Craig!!!!! That's another step forward in your marathon!!!!!

I thought you would get a kick out of something my son said this weekend. Let me set the stage for you: My son's 11th birthday was last Thursday the 19th. He wanted a party but we had no way of getting all of his racing buddies together on a weekend that wasn't a race weekend. So I, Hayden's mom, thought why not celebrate in the city that we are racing in? It just so happen to be that we are racing the California Gold Cup at Comp Edge this past weekend. I drove my car with all 6 little racing dudes in it to a bowling alley for some bowling and pizza! As we were driving they were telling me to speed it up and pass another car and of course all the little racing talk you could imagine. Well then they started talking motocross jumps. Now remember Hayden started racing this past April and the other 5 have been racing for 4-5 years. One of the boys said something about when you are jumping and your front tire is high in the air that that is good. And of course Hayden, who is intimidated by a few of them at times due to his inexperience, says "Nope that's bad!" He continued on how you were at Donnie's school that weekend to demonstrate things and he will always remember what you showed him!

I just thought that was a cute story, it made me smile and I hope it can do the same for you!

I hope your move was easy!
